Wellbeing: Volunteer Wellbeing

VOLUNTEER WELLBEING...

Our volunteers are giving up their time for us and for our community. We admire their enthusiasm and commitment to supporting their colleagues but as the saying goes ‘you can’t pour from an empty cup’...

That’s why here at Nurse Lifeline one of our top priorities is volunteer wellbeing. Here are just a few examples of what we have done so far👇

All of our volunteers will have access to a dedicated mental health professional who will offer support and be around for 1:1 check in chats should they need it.

Every one of our volunteers will have access to ongoing supervision via group debriefs where they will have the opportunity to reflect and share their experiences, thoughts and feelings.

We have made sure that our roster system is flexible and as stress free as possible to ensure that volunteering with us is easy alongside other clinical and personal commitments.

Our volunteers will be part of a positive community of supportive nurses and midwives connected by shared understanding and experience.

We’re in this together 🙌🏼
